Hi all! We're very excited to see you again!
The Great Pumpkin Ride is sponsored by the Fauquier Trails Coalition, a non-profit organization, and is a fundraiser for the construction of new trails throughout scenic Fauquier County.
The Great Pumpkin Ride will be held October 26, 2024 this year and is a rain or shine event. There are NO REFUNDS (for weather, injury, illness, sudden business trip, etc.). This event if our largest fundraiser of the year. Your money goes towards keeping our trails maintained and helping to create new paths throughout the area. We also make donations to other organizations that have similar interests such as us.

NO TRANSFERS after October 22, 2024
The Fauquier Trails Coalition does not broker transfers (we simply don’t have the volunteer staff to handle the brokering of transfers). If you want to transfer your registration, your best bet is to post on our Facebook page.
Here is the general transfer procedure:
Replacement (new) rider –
1. Find a rider who is looking to transfer their registration (see above).
2. Make arrangements to pay the original rider for their entry fee. (The original entry fee transfer must be handled separately and privately between the two parties, and outside of BikeReg.
3. Contact the original rider to transfer the registration to you (see instructions below)
4. Follow the email link you receive and complete your information. Once you've completed the process, the original rider will be removed and you will be added to the list of registered participants in their place.
Original (old) rider –
1. Find a rider who is looking for a transfer registration (see above).
2. Make arrangements to transfer/receive payment from the new rider for your entry fee. (The original entry fee transfer must be handled separately and privately between the two parties, and outside of BikeReg.)
3. Go to this link: https://www.bikereg.com/Edit/great-pumpkin-ride and enter the email address of the person you're transferring your entry to.
4. Once the new rider accepts the transfer, you will be removed from the event and the new rider will be added to the list of registered participants in your place.
And finally . . . the roads for the Great Pumpkin Ride are NOT CLOSED!! Please exercise caution and common sense. If it doesn’t feel safe to ride two abreast, it probably isn’t. And riding more than two abreast is not permitted in Virginia (and ticketing cyclists isn’t an unheard of occurrence – just be aware).
See you at the start!
