Danville-Boyle County Parks and Recreation and Apex Promoz will be hosting a Free Fall Festival at Millennium Park that will include food trucks, bounce houses, games, pumpkin painting, scarecrow making, and a trunk-r-treat. There will also be a chip timed 5K and untimed 1 mile Fun Run that will start at 2:00pm, right after the Trunk-R-Treat. Costumes are highly recommended for the Trunk-R-Treat, 5K and Fun Run. Apex Promoz will be giving away awards for the 5K and Fun Run for best costumes, see below for categories.
Finishers will be rewarded with an awesome Fall themed medal at the finish line and a Trunk-R-Treat bag/Reusable shopping bag and a ceramic coffee mug for those cool fall mornings and evenings.
The Trunk-R-Treat will feature a "best trunk" competition among the local business to see who comes out with the most spirit and creativity. Numerous businesses and City of Danville and Boyle County departments will be handing out candy to the children for the best Trunk-R-Treat in town. Please join us for this great event!
