The route features 100% gravel roads dragging you up the Barr Road climb ascending through the iconic Grampian area and up through the Drahner Road climb which features the highest point in Oakland County at 1,250ft. The course continues north along some of the most scenic gravel roads in the area before bringing you back to absolute chaos by dumping you into Bald Mt. North Recreation single track for some old-school riding before finally bringing you into the Upland Hills private land access road, which will be the deciding factor with its rough two-track and sandy/hilly terrain.
The DRvG 25-mile course starts and ends inside Upland Hills Farm. The route features 100% gravel roads dragging you up Barr Road climb ascending through the iconic Grampian area along the iconic Drahner Road climb which features the highest point in Oakland County at 1,250ft. The course continues north along some of the most scenic gravel roads in the area before bringing you back to absolute chaos by dumping you into Bald Mt. North Recreation single track for some old school riding before finally bringing you into the Upland Hills private land access road which will be the deciding factor with its rough two-track, sandy hilly terrain. The course is approximately 26 miles in length with 1,585ft of climbing.
The DRvG 50-mile course starts and ends inside Upland Hills Farm. The route features 100% gravel roads dragging you up Barr Road climb ascending through the iconic Grampian area along the iconic Drahner Road climb which features the highest point in Oakland County at 1,250ft. The course continues north along some of the most scenic gravel roads in the area featuring rollers that seem to never end! Riders will enjoy the views along Lake George as they wind up and down the gravel roads through Oakland and Lapeer counties before bringing you back to absolute chaos by dumping you into Bald Mt. North Recreation single track for some old school riding before finally bringing you into the Upland Hills private land access road which will be the deciding factor with its rough two-track, sandy hilly terrain. The course is approximately 50 miles in length with 2,942ft of climbing.
With your registration fee, we will provide marked routes, swag, .gpx files, timing provided by Newton Timing, and food will be available for purchase provided by Uncle Peter's Pasties Shelby. We also plan to have on-site bike mechanical support, DEMOs, and swag.
*This race uses Upland Hills private land only accessible during the event August 3, 2024 - NO EXCEPTIONS. You cannot pre-ride the upland hills section of the course. Violators will be reported to the local authorities for trespassing.

Package Pickup is between 7:00 - 8:30 at Upland Hills FarmsThere will be one Aid station located on Oakwood & Hosner. This will be about 33 miles in the 50 mile race, or 18 miles of the 25 mile race. There will be no aid station for the 12 mile raceThe course is open to auto traffic and may include the occasional horseback rider. Obey all traffic laws, instructions from Sheriff Marshals and volunteer corner marshals at intersections. Only roll through if you are directed to do so. You may be asked to stop for your own safety.We reserve the right to delay or cancel the De Ronde van Grampian in the event of inclement weather and or unsafe race/road conditions. The definition of inclement weather and unsafe race/road conditions belongs solely to the discretion of the Race Director.No Refunds or Deferred Registrations, although all entries can be transferred within BikeReg by selecting 'TRANSFER REGISTRATION'.
