About: Dalton Dash 5 miler is a revitalized race that happened years ago in Dalton, PA and was brought back to life in 2021. At it's return, 65 runners took to the start line for the first time in over 20 years! We are still aiming for 200 runners in 2024! 100% of proceeds from the race are used for the beautification of Dalton! As an example, 2022's proceeds were used for Christmas lights in the town square. We love highlighting our local community and putting resources back directly into our area.

WALKERS ARE WELCOME! - We had a decent representation of walkers in 2021 and welcome all fitness levels. We have instituted a generous cut-off time to accommodate.
PRICING SCHEDULE March 15th -->May 28th = $35.00 (If you want a shirt there will be a $5 fee to help cover the cost increase of shirt production) ******Shirts are not guaranteed for any registration after May 10th******Course Description: Considered one of the harder 5 milers in the area. The course consists of 5.25 miles with 302 feet of elevation change confined mostly to the first half of the course. There are some formidable hills to tackle before letting you ride a nice tapered downhill to the finish (we think you'll enjoy the fast finish)! With only 5 turns, ample signage, and even volunteers at each turn, there's no concern of getting off course. There will be 2 water stations on the course along with bananas! Local Dalton Police will help in managing traffic for the duration of the race. This course contains some of the most beautiful roads and countryside views in our area and is very picturesque running!
Course record: David Haines (2021) 27:18

We love the local connection this race brings. After the race is over, be sure to stay for the annual reading of the town veterans' names across the street at Dalton's memorial park to keep the significance of the holiday at the center of our day!
Parking can be utilized along the road in downtown Dalton along with the parking lot behind the Dalton Fire Company.
Looking forward to having an even larger group this coming spring!
