Crofton Kiwanis/Team Surlis 10K Challenge & 5K Run

For over 35 years, the Crofton Kiwanis/Team Surlis 10K Challenge has been a great Race, open to all runners in our community! The 10K course goes around Crofton's tree-lined parkway loop and residential side streets, as shown on the map. Part of the course is flat with a few challenging hills. (Our 10K has been certified and you can check it out on this link: https://certifiedroadraces.com/certificate/?type=r&id=958.) We added a 5K in 2018. It is run only on the Crofton Parkway. It measures a bit longer than 5K--closer to 5.3K.

All abilities are welcome. Participants range from age 7 and up. Water is available at the start, finish and at designated water stations. Course monitors, police and medical support are on-site. Chip technology will provide instant results.

We will have pre- and post-race snacks and a medal ceremony following the Race. The Registration area will open at 6:30 AM. Pre-registered runners will also be able to pick up their bibs and shirts before the Race Day (locations and times to be announced on our website and by email). There is also a $10 mailing option, if preferred.

The 10K will begin promptly at 8 AM, with the 5K immediately following. Results will be posted on active.com and www.croftonkiwanis.org. Tee shirts are guaranteed to only the first 250 registered runners. All of the sizes are unisex.

All proceeds go directly to community charities and projects by way of the Kiwanis Foundation of Crofton. Join us for this fun event! Thanks!

Event details and schedule

 Registration begins at 6:30 AM in the Crofton Country Club north parking lot.  There will be race day registration available, $45. Starting time for the 10K is at 8AM, with the 5K beginning immediately afterwards. We expect to have our usual set-up of fruit, snacks and water before, after and during the Race at water stations along the course. The awards will be handed out as results are finalized.

We will have pre-registration and bib/shirt pick-ups available before the Race Day to alleviate wait times on Saturday morning. We will send out emails as to the dates and post it on our website.

Results will be posted on Active.com and at www.croftonkiwanis.org.  Tee shirts are guaranteed to only the first 250 registrants.
