Cabot Ride the Ridges 2024 marks 11 years of this fantastic gravel grinder, with each and every year better than the last. For returning riders, we'll have the features that make our event Cabot RTR-special - 4 different gravel distances, beautiful views, friendly volunteers with positive attitudes, wood-fired pizza as the post-ride meal, well-stocked aide stations, laughs, fun, and all to support a great cause. We will continue to have Cabot RTR merchandise available for pre-sale, as well as day-of purchase (supplies may be limited). All proceeds from Cabot Ride the Ridges have helped to fund the Cabot Mentoring Program, and while last year's funds helped local businesses who needed assistance recovering from torrential flooding in Central Vermont, this year we're back to fully supporting the Cabot Mentoring Program. We hope you'll join us at this homegrown volunteer-built gravel grinder event exploring the beauty of central Vermont gravel roads, with challenging fun, lots of smiles, and friendly faces along the way!
Our ride has been listed as a Featured Event at gravelingcyclist.com at the following link (check it out!): http://www.gravelcyclist.com/training-rides/featured-event-cabot-ride-the-ridges-cabot-vermont-usa/ If you follow this link, you will see a number of pictures of this ride which has been dubbed "the quintessential Vermont gravel grinder event" by a past rider.
Cabot Ride the Ridges has something for everyone. We organize two classic gravel-grinder events, in our 100K and 60K routes, as well as a challenging 30K and a family-friendly 10k (which non-riders can run or walk). All rides offer a fun and challenging set of mostly dirt road bike rides through the scenic landscapes and rugged terrain of Cabot and Peacham, Vermont. Proceeds benefit the Cabot Mentoring Program.
These are fully supported rides. Volunteers will man a number of aid stations along the route with snacks, power food and drinks (including Cabot-made maple syrup shots). Both the 100K and the 60K are true Gravel Grinders, with the 100K covering over 7500 ft of elevation gain and the 60K traversing over 3500 ft. The 10K and 30K are family friendly events with incredible views. Note: there will be a last time cutoff for the Peacham Aid station supporting our 100K riders.
Post ride enjoy the best food Vermont has to offer, including wood fired pizza with local and fresh veggies and meats, a variety of Jasper Hill gourmet cheeses, Cabot Cheese, the specialty goat cheeses of Vermont Creamery, and Burtts Orchard apples and cider-donuts.
Note under 12 is free. Family discount applies for 2 or more, but is reserved only for the 30k and 10k rides.
