Join runners and walkers from across the Magic City as they participate in Birmingham’s newest annual running event. Bridge Builders 5K Run will be in its second year and held on May 27, 2023 in downtown Birmingham at Rail Road Park. The race is conducted through the efforts of the dedicated volunteers of Omega Scholarship and Benevolence Fund, Incorporated (OSBF) and the Alpha Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated.
On behalf of the Alpha Phi Chapter of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Incorporated and our 501(c)3 foundations, OSBF and the Birmingham Omega Lamplighters, we are asking for your support to assist in our labors as community leaders.
OSBF is an approved 501(c)3 organization dedicated to providing scholarships and benevolent funding to deserving students and organizations to assist with educational needs; to provide support in the areas relating to public and community service initiatives; to inspire others to realize their full potential as productive and responsible citizens addressing issues facing youth and providing them the proper guidance in our community.
The Birmingham Omega Lamplighters is an approved 501(c)3 organization, which is a youth leadership mentoring organization, dedicated to young men ages 12-18. Our interactive program of involvement serves to provide positive role models in helping these young men acquire interpersonal skills and a sense of worth and empowerment. Through our mentoring program, we help to develop the youth into role models for other youth and ultimately into contributing adults who will be able to positively impact our communities. Our aim is to turn good young men into GREAT young men!
