Orca Fitness & Performance invites you to a Summer Trail Run & BBQ at Bowdoin Park! There are 3 distances to enjoy & challenge yourself with - 2.5k, 5k, and 10k We have an itinerary of fun, food, events, and more... Stay tuned for more information as the date comes closer.

2.5k Course : The first 2.5k will be the same for all distances. The race begins on the pavement at our pavilion, and then traveling up the hill towards the park entrance. past the education center, & then turning RIGHT onto the YELLOW TRAIL. All runners follow Follow the Yellow Trail completely through the woods (approx 1 mile). Upon exiting the woods, you will keep the grass fields to YOUR LEFT and follow the path on the outside edge of the fields. Follow this path, keeping the fields on your left, until you reach the Orca pavilion.
5k Course add-on : For the 5k Loop, after completing the loop described above, you will pass by the pavilion and STAY LEFT on the OUTSIDE GRASS EDGE. Follow the grass line (& flags) behind the water park, traveling up the cross country hill. At the U turn at the top of the hill, STAY LEFT where you will see flags to circle back on a gravel road, called Maple Syrup Drive (no this is not Willy Wonka!). You will travel this about 0.5 miles, and then TURN LEFT up the hill. At the 2nd crosswalk, TURN LEFT to travel a fun "up & down" offroad loop. Upon exiting the trail, follow the main road back down all the way to the pavilion. Woohoo!!
For the 10k Loop, you will complete the 5k loop as described above, and then repeat the course a 2nd time, traveling in either direction :-).
We will have race swag bags for all participants, as well as a Spread of Food, Beverages (alcohol too), Music, Games, and "summer BBQ vibes".
