BERKSHIRE BACKROAD GRAVEL GRINDER
We are excited to host the our second annual Berkshire Backroad Gravel Grinder out of West Stockbidge. Ride and explore some of the back roads of Berkshire County. You'll pass historic locations and some scenic overlooks. The ride is approximately 39 miles with approximately 3,700 feet of climbing. There will be one fully stocked aid station approximately 23 miles into the ride. Food, snacks, and beverages will be available at the finish line. Additional food is available for purchase local eateries. Please support the local businesses.
Registration Opens at 9:00AM. Ride start is between 10:00AM and 12:00PM. The rest stop at mile marker 23 opens at 12:00PM. Slow riders start at 10AM or slightly earlier. Fast riders can start as late as 12 Noon.
Main event parking and ride registration will be the Town Water Department at 9 Moscow Road. Additional parking will be available in the dirt parking lot behind the Berkshire Bank. Please don't park in front of any local business for the bike ride as it will be unfair to their patrons. No parking will be allowed on road shoulders.
Route has approximatley 55% gravel and 45% paved and will be mostly on backroads.
B2G2 Main Route - Same Route as last year, fun and mellow with a few challenging climbs and some nice scenery.
B2G2 Main Route - Extra Climbs - Same Route as above with a couple of additional climbs. More is always good!
Berkshire Velo is a 501c3 non-profit that raises money to support cycling advocacy and our local NEYC (NEHSCA) mountain bike teams and Berkshire Velo youth cyclocross team.
