The 2024 Badfish Creek 20K/40K Time Trial hosted by MadCity Velo Club
The Badfish Creek 20K/40K Time Trial is divided into three categories: USAC/WCA State TT, MATTS and T.W.O.
The USAC/Wisconsin State Time Trial Championship Starts at 9:00am. Riders released every 30 seconds. Click for the following for USA/WCA State TT Information and Registration. USAC/WCA
Mid America Time Trial Series (MATTS) offers Age Groups & Cat. time trialing with a Road Bike (RB) division and a Time Trial Bike (TT) division.
Triathletes, WiSport & Open/Unattached (T.W.O.) offers Age Groups* time trialing and cyclists may use either a road bike or time trial bike.
MATTS and T.W.O. are sanctioned by American Bicycle Racing (ABR). ABR provides the insurance for these two categories. All MATTS and T.W.O. (except WiSport members) riders need either a one-day ABR license ($5) or a year license ($25). Click for ABR.
ABR/MATTS and T.W.O. start at 9:45am with riders released every minute on the minute.
The only way for riders to race twice, because the course must close by noon, is once in the USAC/WCA State TT and once in either MATTS or T.W.O.
Pick Up Your Number and use Porta-Potties at the Rutland Town Garage at 785 Center Road, Stoughton, WI 53589.
Parking along Center Road. Please try not to park two cars across from each other on opposite sides of the road.

Course Description: Starting Line is at the intersection of Center & Old Stone Roads. Go east on Old Stone Rd., turn right (south) on Danks Rd., turn right (west) on Old Stage Rd., turn right (northeast) on Old Stone Rd. Finish Line is just before the intersection of Center & Old Stone Roads. One lap is 20K (12.5 miles), Two Laps are 40K (25 miles). Under 19 does 1 lap/20K, 19-64 does 2 laps/40K, 65 plus may do 1 lap/20K for their Age Group race and, if they wish, do a second lap for their Cat. race. For instance, a 70 year old who does two laps receives a time & place for the 70-74 race after their First Lap and a Time & Place as a Cat. 4/5 (or whatever) after their Second Lap.

We recommend using a rear red blinking light.

The Mid America Time Trial Series (MATTS) hosts nineteen (19) time trials in Illinois and Wisconsin. Points are accumulated during the season for end of year championships. Click for Calendar. To race in MATTS events you must have a single ($5) or annual ($25) ABR membership to participate. Link to ABR

New For MATTS 2024 - Road Bike Category – You can choose to race either TT Bike or Road Bike for all of the categories.
Road Bike Definition - A road bike can possess drop or straight handlebars; no tri-bars, clip-on bars or Spinaci bars are allowed; no disc wheels; both front & rear wheels must have at least 12 spokes each; the maximum rim depth allowed is 90mm. Note: the spirit of this new Road Bike category is to encourage more participation in MATTS events by creating a more even playing field for racers who don’t have a TT bike. In general, if your bike would be eligible for a road race or a criterium, it would qualify for the Road Bike category. Time Trial Bike Definition is open to ANY bicycle with or without aerodynamic equipemnt.
