This race is in honor of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Day (which is October 15, though we're running/walking in September when the weather is hopefully nicer for being outdoors!). Miscarriage, stillbirth, and infant loss are sad realities for many families in the United States and around the world. Proceeds from this race will be donated to the Star Legacy Foundation, Amos' Anchors, and Now I Lay Me Down to Sleep.
Shirts are included in registration if you register before August 31; otherwise, shirts are available on a first-come, first-served basis on the day of the race while supplies last. Medals will be given to the top three female and male finishers.
Schedule of events:
Friday, September 27
6-8 PM: Bib pick-up & pre-race check-in at Biggby Coffee, Kalamazoo
Saturday, September 28
8:30 AM - Bib pick-up and on-site registration
10:00 AM - Race begins
11:30 AM - Ceremony of Remembrance
Post-race snacks and water will be provided. During the time between the race and ceremony, please feel free to enjoy the park, playground, and information booths. Participants are invited to bring a picnic lunch, blanket, and chairs.
