Rhodes Marathon & Half

It was perfect race, in historical place. Very nice view of the sea during the whole race, and a pleasant crowd that cheered us on all the time.

Two loops, but a very nice route, all close to the sea on both sides.

Great day, I wouldn’t say this route is flat though as it’s advertised at. 5 miles in there is a somewhat steep hill and then back up at 19KMs when the struggle is real. A well organised event, not much of an atmosphere compared to other half marathons

Nice route by the sea. When you pick up the bib number there is no exhibition. There are no much crowd to support you on the way.

This was my 4th marathon, having run London and Paris and I chose Rhodes as it was smaller and had some epic views on offer, I was not wrong! The route is pretty lovely, all coastal and the weather was of course beautiful, and not too hot as it starts at 730am. There are few crowds, so don’t expect lots of encouragement like other races, that said, those that do turn up clap and cheer support which is lovely. Plenty of water and energy drinks supplied, and the finish line was wonderful, although it’s odd that they put the award ceremony on while people still running? There is a severe lack of of toilets on route, a major issue for those that can struggle with runners belly, something that needs addressing for future years if it gets bigger. Medal and finishers bag was great, registration prior was easy from uk, and despite a little confusion on collecting bib on the day, all was collected easily enough and all the teams seemed so lovely and helpful and spirited. I’d suggest if possible, a few more volunteers/officials on routes where obvious cheating can take place as I witnessed someone clearly skip about 2km by jumping the barrier and I informed Rhodes to Rhodes and also my race.gr but nothing was rectified.

Great views

An absolute gem as far as location is concerned and Organisation was pretty good. The downside was lack of Toilet facilities at The Start& throughout The Course. Also Crowd support was minimal, even towards The Finish, but you find this at Many events. Over all very good, just need more Toilets😊👌

The marathon in Rhodes was very well organised! Amazingly route, location and volunteers! Really enjoyed it! Well done

Fantastic Run on a fantastic island

The route is s simply amazing, awesome crowd and everything well organised.

Coming back after the organization of 2019 and the pandemic, this year's event was a major downgrade. No "Pasta Party", no snacks or to be very honest very little and given with a "rate" to athletes -personally I've received half of a banana and a tiny sesame bar! On the course itself there were no isotonic gels. Even the medals were the same for every distance. I could go on and on but I'll stop here. This is so sad! Rhodos Marathon has the potential to become one of the best on the calendar, the scenery, the weather, and the amazing island can contribute to success -please copy the best parts from your past events.

to cancel Boston marathon in USA next week(18/04/2022) and run my home town's marathon the Rhodes island marathon GREECE instead it was a wise choice not just i saved lots of money:-), but because my legs performed so well from resting them at home, the result sub 3;-) performance. I came 3rd out of 116 runners official Time 2:57:12

An amazing place to run. Rodos is among the most beautiful cities to run. The race has its difficulties especially on the last 3 km -they are uphill. Poor recovery products. Amazing pasta party!
