DESCRIPTION

This is going to be one of the best races in Central Kentucky and we can’t wait to see you there! For this event we will be partnering with the Danville-Boyle County Parks and Recreation Department for a 4th of July evening race happening right before the fireworks explode over Millennium Park. The race will start at 7:00pm with a plan for participants to cross the finish line and hang around for the after party including glow paint, glow sticks, black lights, and of course the massive City of Danville firework show. This will be a nighttime themed race and each participants will get glow sticks in their packets and we will have glow paint at the start and finish line so everyone can get creative for the evening. We will also have smoke machines and black lights at the start and finish line to make for fantastic finish line photos brought to you by none other than A Runner’s Mom & More Photography. We are partnering with the Parks and Recreation department to make the 4th of July event an all-day party and we will have numerous food trucks, large inflatables/bounce houses, games and vendors out before the race lasting until the firework show finishes.

Awards:

We will give away 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place overall awards to the top male and female finishers and 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards to the following age groups.

0-9, 10-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69 and 70+

Parking:
Parking will be at Millennium Park, 1000 Cunningham Way, Danville, KY 40422 (Please see the map of the park to know exactly where the start/finish line as well as the festival activities will be) 
 
Packet Pick-Up/Late Registrations:
July 3rd - 4:00pm-6:00pm at Mason Brothers Footwear,  1585 Hustonville Rd, Danville, KY 40422
July 4th - 6:00pm-6:50pm at Millennium Park, 1000 Cunningham Way, Danville, KY 40422
 
Start and Finish:
The start and finish lines will be in the same location near the baseball/softball fields.
