Amazing experience. It is an authentic place where athletics was born. Great organization. The majestic entrance to the finish line in the stadium from 1896... Athens, field Marathon - history. Greeks are great hosts.

Great race!

A great experience I`ll never forget. It is not a marathon to run fast, but to enjoy the race that gave the name `marathon` and to be amazed that you can run in the very footsteps of Pheidippides. Hot, hilly and hard, but a very cheerful crowd push you forward. (Pheidippides or Philippides (Φιλιππίδης) is the central figure in the story that inspired two modern sporting events, the marathon race and the Spartathlon.)

This was my second marathon (after Run Rome The Marathon, 2023 19th March) and I`ll tresure it for all my life.

This was my first marathon & I had a blast, but I would not recommend this particular course for beginners -- unless you love hills!

Well organized event beginning from the stadium in Marathon with the Olympic flame finishing at the ancient stadium in the center of Athens, very supportive crowd for the most of the route, not an easy one, well organized expo plenty of brands you can buy whatever you want if you forgot to have with you.

It was one of the most difficult but so beautiful marathon and I really enjoy it.. I will do it again next November..

Excellent organization, great route, cheerful crowds all the way, cool happenings around the event.

I have run this race three times. In 2018, 2019 and this year. The strict covid protocolmaybe reduced the runners to half and also the spectators, but the support and the provisions of the organizers remain perfect. I believe this is one of the richest and best organized marathons in aspects of hydration, electrolytes and hydrocarbon provision by the organizers. The hilly terrain makes it one of the most difficult and challenging marathon races. The finishing in the crowdy panathinaikon stadium is a unique emotional and unforgetable experience. This year the weather was perfect.
