Do you think you have what it takes?  We doubt it!  The rabid dog is exactly what it sounds like… our hardest ride.  This course was designed to push our OWN limits and we love to suffer!  With over 112 miles of adventure,  12,000 feet of climbing and every type of terrain imaginable, this event will test your inner mettle.  The Rabid Dog hits all our favorite spots in the area, you'll get great climbs, awesome descents, exciting trails, and great views.  Come see what this region has to offer!  after 2 years we only have 3 finishers for the full route that weren't part of the Brown Dog Team.   

The Rabid Dog isn't a race, it's a challenge.  Sign up today and see if you have what it takes to finish.  

The GPS course will be unveiled the week before the event and the course will not be marked.  We will send out a few team riders of different pace so you can join us for a sort of guided group ride or use the gpx to take on the course yourself.  The course is fairly remote and will have little cell signal in low areas so be prepared to self support!  The Brown Dog support crew will be setting up a rolling rest station fully stocked with plenty of LMNT salty hydration mix, Kates Real food bars, and and a few extra treats to keep you going.  Come on out and join us for an incredible adventure!

Cell reception is very intermittent.  Please be sure you download all .gpx files before coming to the event.  Onsite registration is available.

 

As far as bike choice goes,  it can be ridden on a gravel bike,  but most of us on the Brown Dog team prefer a hardtail or rigid Mountain bike with wide gravel tires.

What this event is…

Taking off from Outlaw Brewing Company in Winchester NH, This ischallenge!  It's NOT for beginners.  We think adventure ride probably sums it up best.  No matter what bike you ride at some point it will probably be the wrong one,  but that's just part of the adventure.  Flat bar hard tails have been our bike of choice to ride but we have seen every thing from gravel bikes to dual suspension mountain bikes on the course.    We've spent countless hours exploring and finding awesome old closed roads, trails, waterfalls, and views,  and this connects them all in 1!  Come see what this little slice of New England has to offer and keep your eyes peeled for a few Easter eggs along the way!

The ride takes off from Winchester, NH and travels down into Massachusetts and back.  This area offers plenty of beautiful hiking and biking trails.  There's tons of fun to be had for the entire family so bring them along and make a weekend out of it.  Feel free to contact us for some suggestions.
