Imagine yourself at the starting line in the bustling K Market International parking lot on John Marr Drive. From there, you’ll embark on a dynamic course that meanders along the scenic Columbia Pike, winding through the picturesque trails of Mason District Park, before bringing you back to the finish line. This exhilarating race is a highlight of the Taste of Annandale Street Festival, offering a perfect blend of athletic challenge and community celebration.

In 2023, the race saw incredible performances, with Kevin Zambrano, 32, of Annandale clinching first place with a remarkable time of 19:21.6. The fastest female runner, Halei Benefield, 32, of Baltimore, also achieved an impressive fourth place overall, finishing in 19:55.2.

Certified by USA Track & Field, the Annandale 5K guarantees a top-tier racing experience. Awards will be given to the top three male and female runners, as well as to the fastest participants in various age categories.
