New York Bike Lawyers (Flanzig and Flanzig, LLP) is a nationally recognized law firm representing the rights of seriously injured cyclists, pedestrians, and their families. We are avid cyclists and safe street advocates with a combined 65 years of experience litigating on behalf of seriously injured crash victims in New York. Partner Daniel Flanzig serves on the Board of Directors and is a legal advisor to the New York Bicycling Coalition, New York's only statewide bicycle advocacy group. Daniel serves as a "Bike Law" educator with Bike New York, the country's leading bike education program holding monthly classes around New York City educating his fellow riders on their rights if involved in a crash. Mr. Flanzig has authored numerous articles and frequently lectures on bicycle litigation in New York. He has been featured in both The New York Times and Bicycle Times Magazine for his work as a leading Bicycle Law Advocate and a New York Bike Crash Lawyer.
An avid cyclist himself, Dr. O'Neal is a compassionate clinician treating populations of all backgrounds and ethnicities with empathy and respect. A wealth of experience dealing with traumatic and developmental maladies of the maxillofacial complex. Familiar working in most clinical settings, from Hospital to private practice. Constantly organizing and assigning doctors and support staff for full and efficient utilization of clinic resources while maintaining minimal operational overhead. An active team player in group practice, regularly coordinating with other treating clinicians whether formulating comprehensive patient treatment plans or executing treatment.
Empire Speed NYC is an inline speed skating club practicing in NYC and surrounding areas. With regular practice sessions in Central Park and Prospect Park, we are commited to growing the inline speed skating community and helping skaters of all ability improve their fitness and athletic abilities.
RACE DATE
This race date is Sunday, May 12, 2024.
REGISTRATION
Day-of registration for any field that is not sold out begins 1 hour before and ends 10 minutes prior to your field start time. You need to have your USAC license active to register. An additional $10 late fee applies for day-of registration. Please sign up online to expedite the registration process and avoid potential errors. Keep timing chips from other races on your bicycle.
You can transfer your registration at BikeReg for free to someone else. Please text me in advance if you need to cancel your registration.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Please pull off the course upon the request of race officials or the pace moto.
Keep the road clear while waiting for your field's start.
The start and finish will be at Surf Ave.

NUMBERS:
Results will be processed MANUALLY! Bibs must be pinned on the RIGHT side of the rider’s jersey. Incorrect placement of numbers may result in incorrect/missing results.
AWARDS:
All winners and podiums will receive FREE PASSES to enjoy the rides at Deno’s WONDER WHEEL Park on the Boardwalk in Coney Island. Passes do not expire and can be used anytime the Park is open.
Report to the podium area 15 minutes after the race is over for awards and media coverage. Racers must be present at the podium ceremony to receive prizes. Racers not present will forfeit their prizes.
RESULTS:
Will be posted on Road-Results.com and the USA Cycling website, usually within 48 hours."
COURSE:
Perfectly flat and smooth with 3 right turns around Asser Levy Park. Strava Segment is here. Please arrive in advance to become familiar with the new race course and setup. The race course is closed to traffic and marked by signs, cones, and NYPD barriers at every critical spot.
DIRECTIONS:
By car: Follow GPS to 302 Sea Breeze Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11224 and park nearby.

WATER, BATHROOMS & TRASH
You can pick up a free bottle of water from the cooler inside the race organizer's van or use the water fountain by the stationary restrooms. Please use the trash receptacle by the registration desk or any other trash cans.
NOTES:
1. Race distances may be shortened due to weather conditions and/or time constraints.
2. Fields may be combined and/or prize money may be reduced if minimum fields are not met.
3. The race course is closed for cars, but some cars may be crossing it. The lead-out motorcycle will ensure your way is safe. Please be careful anyway.
4. This race will be held rain or shine.
