Feet for Heat

Have you ever sacrificed a meal so that your children could have something to eat?  Have you ever received an eviction notice because you couldn’t pay your rent? Has your power or water ever been disconnected? Have you ever worn the same clothes two days in a row? These are real issues that our clients face and the reasons that United Christian Ministries exists. 

For 34 years, we have provided emergency assistance to help families in our community to meet their basic needs. Last year, about 3,500 families in Pickens County & the Powdersville area received food, utility, rent and/or clothing assistance from UCM. 

One of the ways that we obtain funding is through our annual Feet for Heat fundraiser. Our 13th annual event will take place on Saturday, October 28 at Old Market Square in Easley. All proceeds will help our neighbors who lack the financial resources to adequately meet their basic needs. There will be a 5K run, 1 mile walk and Kids’ Fun Run. We will also have some family fun festivities for all to enjoy.
