Frost Heave Fondo (Maine Gravel Series)

We're BACK and celebrating the eternal spring classik', Frost Heave Fondo!

What you've heard about this course is true, it's wet. And muddy. Oh, and hilly too. It's the kick off to riding season you never knew you needed. Heck, that's the joy of it! Back to riding bikes with friends. What you can expect for the route is a mix of pavement, gravel and chunky dirt roads. Did we mention climbing?

Anyway, now for the exciting bit: we have a NEW START AND FINISH location in downtown Union, ME! Our hosts will be the good folks at Sterlingtown who are offering food and drinks for sale both before and after the ride (the Bakehouse is not to be missed, coffee yum). 

And for those of you wondering what this means for the course…you can rest assured there will be no lack of puddles. It's actually surprising how unchanged the route is. We'll also have a full service rest stop with home cooked food and other goodies, IYKYK.
