Please join us for the inaugural Dry Pond 5k/10K race presented by Denver Running Company, LLC. A short bit of history - Denver was previously called Dry Pond; named for the pond at the intersection of NC 16 Business and Campground Road that dried up during the warmer months. Today Denver sits on the west shores of Lake Norman, a very large lake created in 1962 when construction of the Cowans Ford Dam across the Catawba River was completed. *Information gathered from denvernc.com* The 5k and 10K course is along McConnell Road and Webbs Chapel Church Road where you will get to experience the beauty of the fall leaves and a small piece of Lake Norman. The course is moderately hilly with only small elevation gains and can be enjoyed by runners of all levels. Pricing: 5k = $30, 10K = $40, race day registrations 5k = $35 and 10K = $45. Awards breakdown: 1st, 2nd, and 3rd male and female winners (19 & under, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60 & above) Webbs Chapel Church will be preparing breakfast as a church fundraiser. The cost will be an additional $10/person. Money to be collected onsite. Breakfast will be served starting at 9am – 11am. Awards ceremony for the 5k will start at 9:30 and for the 10k will start at 10am. Restrooms are located in the Family Life Center of Webbs Chapel Church. Parking is on-site at Webbs Chapel Church.
