Galena River Fall Half Marathon & 8k

Experience the thrill of the Galena River Fall Half Marathon & 8K along the picturesque Galena River Trail. This fast and flat course offers two race options: a half marathon and an 8K, catering to runners of all levels. Please note that due to the vibrant local Halloween celebrations, the course will close promptly at 11:00 AM, so all runners must complete their race by this time. The event takes place at the Train Depot parking area beneath the Highway 20 bridge, where you'll also find packet pickup and gear check facilities. Hydration stations providing water, Gatorade, and GU are strategically located along the route. The age categories for the race range from under 19 to 90 and above. The course is designed as an out-and-back track; the half marathon spans 13.10 miles, and the 8K course turns back at the 2.50-mile mark.
