BPMI 5k

Join BPMI for its inaugural IN-PERSON 5k Run/Walk at the North Park Boat house on June 12th. (virtual option available) The previous two years, BPMI has held this race virtually to help raise money for local charities. 100% of your entry fee will go to the charity of your choice.

WIN PRIZES!

Various gift cards for top finishing times will be awarded by age group. Want to go the distance? If a 5k isn't challenging enough for you, an endurance prize will also be given for the longest consecutive distance. Finisher medals will be given to all participants.

Virtual Option:

Participating in the virtual 5k allows you the flexibility to run anywhere and anytime you want. You can run indoors on a treadmill, outdoors on a track or trail, or even make your own trail. After completion of the run submit your result.

Top Endurance Athlete Award:

Want a bigger challenge than 5K? Don't want to roll out of bed just for a quick 20 minutes "jog"? Then we have something to satisfy your pavement pounding soles! The runner that logs the most miles in a single run June 10th- June 12th will not only win the "2022 BPMI Top Endurance Athlete of the Year" award, but usurp the title from BPMI’s undefeated reigning champion, Nate Weiderspahn. A trophy and bragging rights will be given to this individual.

Social Media Selfie Post:

Any runner that posts a post-run selfie to social media tagging BPMI and using the hashtag #BPMI5K will be automatically entered into a gift card raffle. Each social media post/platform counts towards one entry, so use Facebook and Instagram to double your odds of winning!

Results and Tracking:

The results for all of the in-person 5k participants will automatically be uploaded to this website. The virtual participants will need to self-report to this website. Anyone participating in the endurance challenge will need to email Kristina Souders at Kristina.stefanov@unnpp.gov

Wellness Bonus Points:

As an additional bonus for participating in the CAC 5K Run/Walk, BPMI employees will receive an additional 100 points to their Virgin Pulse account!

Things of My Very Own: Provides crisis intervention services to children impacted by extensive abuse and/or neglect. When a child escapes abuse within their home, they need support to weather the crisis, heal, and move forward. Things of My Very Own, Inc. is a lifeline for children fleeing abuse. From providing basic necessities to teaching life skills that instill confidence and self-worth, our services lift fragile children from a place of harm to one of hope.

Butler County Humane Society (BCHS): Since 1897, the BCHS’s mission is to provide a temporary, safe, no-kill shelter for homeless, unwanted, and abandoned lost cats and dogs

Prostate Cancer Pittsburgh: 1 in 8 men will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in their lifetime. Prostate Cancer Pittsburgh provides preventative information as well as support for those affected.
