Manila International Marathon

Never again! What other runners said were true. Before reaching main street, the road has many potholes with inadequate lighting. On the main street, 2 out of 4 lanes are for runners and 2 are for cars. Mind you, basically none of the cars are EV so the emissions from cars will be your running partner. The impatient drivers pressing the horn as your run (can't blame them, 4 lanes down to 2. One car chose to veer to runner's lane and I almost bumped to the car. You have been warned!

This marathon is not international. Poor organization. Changed the start line at 4km from the official one. Start with 1h delayed at 2am on very busy main roads with a heavy traffic with big trucks. Cross major crossroads with normal traffic on, challenged water station with bottles on the floor on the road. The asard ceremony Was really too long at the end they stopped the ceremony and put the trophies back in the boxes

It is a scam. DONT WASTE YR MONEY to register and travel. Poorly organized event. 1. A lot of last minute changes in venue and start time after hotel room are booked. 2. Delayed gun off time for almost an hour. 3. No chip timing and they gave plastic strings at checkpoints at the u turn sections. Don't expect any official timing results. 4. There was no medical tent or ambulance on standby. 5. Only 3 water stations on the first part of the route. They have guys on bikes to distribute water. 6. Running along side traffic with poor visibility, just too many traffic lights to cross 7. Route was not clearly marked and no distance marker
