Little Literacy Heroes - 5K & 1-Mile (Run, Walk or Read)

This family-friendly event is the perfect opportunity to stay active and engaged while supporting early literacy in Volusia County! Walk, run, or read knowing you’re supporting increased early literacy rates and access to books in your community.

Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library of Volusia is a free book-gifting program available to children birth to five years old in Volusia County at no cost to their family. Each month, the program mails one high quality, age-appropriate book to the child. It is fully funded by donations from generous local community members.

5K Participants receive a unisex Race T-Shirt. 1-Mile Participants receive a Race CAPE!! Option to purchase additional shirts and capes is available, while supplies last.

**Shirts only guaranteed when registered by October 1, 2021. Additional shirts will be available, while sizes last.

Packet Pickup will be at The Running Elements, at ONE DAYTONA beginning Friday, October 1st.  It is preferred that all participants pick-up items between October 3rd and October 9th. 

Store is located near GameTime at 1 Daytona Blvd, Daytona Beach, FL 32114. Call for curbside pickup options, (386) 868-5283. Store open for packet pickup during all business hours, Monday-Saturday 10am-7pm & Sunday 12-5pm.
