Downtown Runaround - Springdale

Thanks to the Generous donation by TRS Healthcare, we are very excited to partner with the Jones Center to co-host a  family friendly 5k and 1k with proceeds going to the top 3 Springdale elementary or middle schools PE programs with the most participants! In addition, all participants 15 and under will "pay your age" to enter into the race. All finishers will receive a finishers medallion. To be included in the school participation prize simply select your school at registration. Anyone can register for the school they'd like to represent, not just the child enrolled (parents, teachers, friends, siblings, etc) 

The Cow Paddy Run, Downtown Runaround, and Trick-or-Trot 5k & 1k is also produced by The Spark Foundation with a focus on helping students and families build the habits for an active, healthy lifestyle. All 3 races are part of our “pay-your-age” program for runners 5-15 and proceeds directly support physical education in local schools through the school participation prize. As part of our school participation run series, we want the focus on running to be fun and accessible. All runners get a chip time, participant shirt, and finisher’s medal. We do not offer overall or age group awards for these events, but rather focus on the love of running by creating a fun, family friendly atmosphere!

Both elementary AND middle schools in Springdale are eligible for the annual participation prize, and we're adding more awards! Make sure that your students, teachers, parents, alumni, friends, and family all select YOUR SCHOOL to be in the running for highest Downtown Runaround participation.
1st Place - $1,000
2nd Place - $500
3rd Place - $250

We know that race fees can be prohibitive and we've dedicated to making running accessible to all. We offer scholarships through school and community running clubs and P.E. programs. Email us at [email protected] to find out more.

*** Please note: In order to guarantee a race t-shirt (short-sleeved cotton), you must register and select a size no later than September 1st, 2023. If you register on or after the date, we can no longer guarantee a race t-shirt. We will have some extra shirts available on race, but please register before the cutoff to ensure your t-shirt in your desired size. ***

All proceeds benefit The Spark Foundation, a local Fayetteville nonprofit to create a positive impact in the community by providing increased access to health and fitness education and opportunities.
