Center Cancer Awareness Walk

Join us for our 2nd Annual Center Cancer Walk! The Bridgehampton Child Care & Recreational Center, a historically Black, community-rooted organization dedicated to serving marginalized East End children and families, cordially welcomes everyone. We extend our solidarity to those who have triumphed over cancer or continue to battle it.

Save the date: September 21, 2024, for an exceptional event hosted at The Bridgehampton Child Care and Recreational Center. Commencing at 8 am, registration and sign-in will commence, accompanied by a warm address from our Executive Director, Bonnie Cannon, and valued partners. Embarking at 9:30 am, our walk will commence. Our path leads us southward onto Bridgehampton Sag Harbor Turnpike, heading towards Main Street, Montauk Highway, culminating at the Bridgehampton Fire Department.

Upon concluding this fulfilling journey, we shall retrace our steps along the same path. Post-walk, a delectable lunch awaits, followed by uplifting speeches from community members offering their support and inspiration.

Participation options abound. You can stride alongside us physically or complete a virtual 5k distance (equivalent to 3.1 miles) at your convenience. Treadmill, track, or a favored trail—take your pick. Rally your family, friends, and colleagues to unite, crossing the finish line in honor of survivors and cherished individuals who have passed.

The funds generated from this event will be channeled towards fostering outreach and educational workshops for families and communities. Your involvement goes beyond the walk—your contribution empowers and uplifts.
