Outrace The Stigma 5k

The Alpha Lambda chapter hosts an annual mental health awareness event in support of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI). This initiative, initially launched to out race stigma, aims to enhance awareness about mental health and introduce resources available at North Carolina State University and the surrounding Triangle area. NAMI advocates for education and support at no cost for people with mental illness and their families. Approximately 1 in 5 adults in the U.S. experience mental illness each year. Omega Phi Alpha focuses on mental health, advocating for greater understanding and community support in Raleigh and beyond.
