Manaus Marathon

The Manaus Marathon is Brazil’s most challenging urban marathon, drawing athletes from around the globe to tackle 42.195 km through the heart of the Amazon. Set in the dynamic capital of Amazonas, this international race is a true test of endurance, where tropical heat and humidity add an extra layer of difficulty. Participants can expect a well-organized, punctual, and sustainability-focused event. The marathon integrates meaningful environmental actions—like plastic recycling and native tree planting—while also supporting local employment and community development. Unique traditions set this race apart: all bib numbers were immortalized in the inaugural edition, but from the second year on, only those who complete the full marathon three times earn that honor. Runners who participate in 10 consecutive editions receive lifetime free registration starting with their 11th race.
