RACE COURSE (Road & Fixed)
record is here: https://www.strava.com/activities/9419991115
Length: 1450 meters (0.9mi) Flat
Turns: 6 R / 2 L turns
Direction: Clockwise
Width: 4 meters at the narrowest, 8 meters at the widest
The start/finish straight is fairly short at only 122 meters in total. It’s approximately 65 meters from the exit of the final corner to the line.
Turn 1 and 2 form a tight chicane. Turn 1 is narrow and 90 degrees which requires careful speed modulation for a clear run through the wider turn 2 exit. With only one fast line into the chicane expect a fight for position down the straight.
Turn 3 has a wide radius with a slightly uphill exit. This corner is easy in theory…
Turn 4 is a straight-forward 90 degree corner with a wide exit.
Turn 5 goes the long way around the trees requiring heavy braking. With limited sight lines and a narrow exit this corner will be difficult to get right. While there is ample run-off expect to see more than a few riders off in the grass.
Turn 6 is a long sweeping corner at the bottom of the steep downhill section. Positioning here is critical to setup for the hairpin.
Turn 7 is a classic hairpin. The course is still slightly downhill so entry speeds will be high. Braking skills will be a premium here. As the final technical corner before the finish the race will be won or lost here.
Turn 8 is a fast and wide 90 degree corner which should allow a sprint finish to develop after the exit.
