Women Life Freedom 5k run and walk

The Women Life Freedom 5k run and walk will be held on Saturday December 3, 2022 at 9am in Maryland Heights, MO in solidarity with and to raise awareness of the Women Life Freedom movement that has evolved in the wake of the death of Mahsa Amini. Mahsa was a 22-year-old woman in Iran who died in police custody after being arrested by the "morality police" for improperly wearing her headscarf. Women in Iran lack many of the basic freedoms that we enjoy and often take for granted in the United States. This run is an opportunity to support women's rights while enjoying the simple freedom of running.

Proceeds from the run will be donated to All Among Us (allamong.us), a St Louis charity empowering women, as well as the Association of Families of Flight PS752 Victims (ps752justice.com). Flight PS752 was a commercial passenger flight with 176 passengers and crew, shot down by the Iranian revolutionary guard 3 minutes after takeoff from Tehran in January 2020.

There will not be any awards, but there will be raffles, giveaways and food.

Bib pick-up will be available the morning of the event prior to start time.

Registration is $20 plus processing fee. 

Day-of-race pricing is $25.
