1500 M Swim - 40 KM Cycling - 10 KM Run

(cut-off: 4 Hours, 30 Minutes after Start)

Open Water Swim: BEGIN

0.5 KM: 9-18, 19-39, 40-59, 60+ (Cut-off 30 Minutes)
1500 M: 9-18, 19-39, 40-59, 60+ (Cut-off 1 Hour 10 Minutes)
3000M: 12-18, 19-39, 40-59, 60+ (Cut-off 2 Hour 30 Minutes)
STANDARD OLYMPIC:

5000 M: 14-24, 25-45, 46+ (Cut-off 3 Hour 30 Minutes)
10000 M: 14-24, 25-45, 46+ (Cut-off 6 Hour)

Registration for the SWIMATHON (OPEN WATER SWIMMING) 0.5Km and the Sprint Triathlon, including a 750m swim, 20km cycle, and 5km run, will open once there are more than 10 entries in each category. ping the organizer for more details.

MISSION

Mission: Our event aims to encourage more people to get involved in swimming, cycling and running, three of the most accessible and beneficial forms of exercise. The primary objective of this event is to promote a healthy and active lifestyle by engaging participants in challenging aquatic sports activities. Additionally, we aim to raise awareness about ocean conservation, including the protection of sea animals, efforts to reduce plastic waste in the ocean, and initiatives for ocean cleanup. We would also like to highlight the importance of learning to swim for personal safety, especially in coastal regions like Tamil Nadu, Pondicherry. With the vast expanse of the ocean on our doorstep, the ability to swim can be a lifesaver. In this event, we plan to offer free swim lessons to children and adults to encourage and empower them to embrace water safety. (save sea animals, save ocean from plastic and ocean cleanup) and we also supports para athletes & special children is our mission.


ABOUT - AQUAFEST (SWIMATHON - TRIATHLON)

Team TRI2CHAMP Welcomes All Guests, we kindly invite you to our largest swimming competition.

AQUAFEST We can create a world-class event experience to wrap up the 2024 season at the Pondicherry racing location.

You are going to see a beautiful sunrise over Pondicherry (Pondy marina) while swimming along the shoreline. The cycling route will start from the coastal marine road and will be flat and rolling. The running course is very open to spectators.

We are aware that you overcame obstacles and reached milestones to get to the starting line and we will do whatever we can to assist you in achieving your goals on race day.

Event Highlights and Participant Facilities:



AUGUST 24 - Pre-Race Day (Tentative):

Athlete check-in, Bib, and Race kit collection from 11 AM to 6:00 PM at Pondy Marina.
Practice swim (7- 9 AM) (tentative).
Mandatory athlete briefing from 5 PM to 6 PM (tentative).
Please note that on-the-spot registrations will not be permitted on the race day.
AUGUST 25 - Race Day:


Parking gates will be open from 4:30 AM to 5:30 AM only.
Transition area open from 4:45 AM to 5:30 AM.
Tentative Flag-off timings are as follows: after the sunrise 6 Am to 6:30Am.
Swimming Safety Measures:
We have best Lifeguard team for Open Water Safety.
The swim course is an example of sea swimming on a high tide beach, with a rectangular course (200-300 meters up, 300-700 meters to the left, 200 meters down). Please note that the course is subject to change based on sea conditions on the race day, prioritizing participant safety.
The race is open to participants from age 9 to maximum age.
This race adheres to international standards.
Medical facilities will be available on the course and at the finish.
Post-race physiotherapy sessions will be held for participants (if required).
Adequate hydration and nutrition stations will be available on the course for athletes.
This is a traffic-controlled event for triathlon.
Participants will receive good-quality event t-shirts (Extra cost) and goody bags.
Finisher medals will be awarded to participants who complete the race within the cutoff time.
Trophies will be presented to age group category winners.
Post-race refreshments will be provided to all participants.
Over 100+ volunteers, including more than 40 safety lifeguards, will be available for the event.
Refund Policy:

No refunds will be issued under any circumstances.
Mandatory Accessories:

Garmin/Strava/previous race files will be accepted as confirmation of swim capability.
Swimmers must have swimming goggles and caps.
Swimming suits/trunks/tri-suits/wet suits are required.
Tow floats (swim buoys) are mandatory for all distances. If needed, please contact/message us.
Event Information:

All races will be electronically timed, and participants will receive digital certificates post-race.

Terms and Conditions:

1. Covenant of Good Faith and Fair Dealing:

Tri2champ is committed to conducting its services with honesty and fairness.
2. Event Cancellation:

Tri2champ reserves the right to cancel the event due to various reasons, including forces of nature, medical necessities, or safety concerns.
3. Refund Policy:

In case of event cancellation, tri2champ will adopt the "best possible refund policy" for participants. Specific details are not provided, but efforts will be made to refund fees fairly.
4. Exclusion of Travel and Accommodation Expenses:

Participants are responsible for their own travel and accommodation expenses.
we can arrange school or marriage hall where swimmers can stay free overnight on Saturday. Runners and Volunteers could be accommodated to stay. *Only Space will be arranged for those opting to stay overnight. Nothing else will be provided by the Organizing Team. *
5. Organizers' Decision:

The organizers' decisions are final and binding in all event matters.
6. Medical/Insurance/Waiver's Submission

Athlete has to submit the Medical Fitness Certificate, Medical/Travel Insurance Copy and Waiver's form on or before 15th Day after Registration via Email @[email protected] with the subject line " Document Submission - TRI2CHAMP - AQUAFEST 2024 - PUDUCHERRY", if documents are not received on time Athlete will not permit in race day.
Race Kit Collection Requirements:

Participants must personally collect their race kit during designated times.
Knowledge of race number is necessary.
Verification of participant information is required.
Failure to collect the race kit within specified times results in ineligibility.
Documentation for Swimmers:

Swimmers must carry a valid photo ID.
For minors (under 18), a parent or guardian must also provide ID and an authorization letter.
Guardians must be physically present with minors on the event day.
Consequences of Non-compliance:

Failure to follow race kit collection rules leads to disqualification.
Requesting Assistance:

Swimmers in need of rest or water should signal the nearest kayak for assistance with a flotation device.
Respect Toward Volunteers and Race Officials:

Participants are expected to treat volunteers and race officials with respect and courtesy.
Disrespect or discourtesy may result in disqualification.
Identity Confirmation and Consequences:

Participant identity and age will be verified using registration information.
Providing false information or documents for eligibility may lead to registration cancellation and no fee refund.
Violators may face temporary or permanent bans from future Tri2champ events.
Acknowledgment:

By registering for this event, participants acknowledge and accept all the above terms and conditions.
