ABOUT THE AZALEA RUN: Hosted by the Muskogee Running Club, the City of Muskogee, and Saint Francis Health Systems, the Annual Azalea Run returns to Honor Heights Park on April 13th. This run dates back to the mid-1980s, and has had many names, most recent of which has been the Muskogee Run. For many years we start at Honor Heights Park and ran on roads to the west of the park. This year's event will stay inside the park and is better suited with the traditional name "The Azalea Run". This will be one of many events of the 2024 Azalea Festival, which will go on the entire month of April. The Chili Cookoff will also be happening on April 13th at Hatbox Sports Complex inMuskogee. We will be using a course familiar to many local runners, the Garden of Lights Run Course, but it will have a much different feel for a spring run. 5k COURSE: The Garden of Lights Run course will keep runners inside the park and will offer many beautiful views of the parks flowers and gardens.
