Strides for Sunny 5K

Join us on Saturday September 4, 2021 at TY Park for the inaugural Strides for Sunny 5K.  As we honor Sunny LaValle who was tragically killed while living one of her loves, riding a bike.  Sunny, a loving wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend to so many, was lawfully cycling in the bike lane on Bonaventure Blvd on Sunday May 23, 2021 when she was struck from behind by a reckless driver.  The event proceeds will help start a foundation on behalf of Sunny.  We ask that you join us as we run/walk in honor of Sunny.

Our theme for the Strides with Sunny 5K is rainbow tutu's.  We want to honor Sunny with as many participants as possible wearing a rainbow tutu.  We are excited for the music, entertainment, and celebration the event will provide, but we need your energy and support to make this the greatest honor to our friend.  Each participant will receive the follow event items:  personalized race bib with RFID timing chip, event shirt, finisher medal, and personalized race completion certificate.  The 5K will be a chipped timed event with awards provided for top 3 overall, masters, and age groups.  The age groups are as follows:  Men's/Women's 1-8; 9-14; 15-19; 20-24; 25-29; 30-34; 35-39; 40-44; 45-49; 50-54; 55-59; 60-64; 65-69; 70-74; 75-79; 80+.
