Join us for the third annual Spring Forward for Student Success 5K Run/Walk. The Piedmont Technical College Foundation invites participants to follow a course around the College’s Lex Walters Campus in Greenwood, SC. The race starts in front of the new, state-of-the-art William H. “Billy” O’Dell Upstate Center for Manufacturing Excellence. From there, runners and walkers will complete two laps around the perimeter of the campus. Walkers are to stop after one lap. Student Impact: Your participation in the Spring Forward for Student Success 5K Run/Walk supports the Piedmont Technical College Foundation, which provides funding for student scholarships, book/supply assistance, and other support to enrich the college experience. Race Day Details: Place: Piedmont Technical College, O'Dell Center Date: Saturday, May 17th The 5K Run/Walk will start in front of PTC’s O’Dell Center on South Emerald Rd. 7:30 a.m. – 8:30 a.m.: Packet Pick Up (In front of the O'Dell Center) 8:30 – 5K Run Start (Timed Event) 8:30 – 1.5 Mile Walk (Non-Timed) 9:30 – Awards Ceremony Age Group Category 0-910-1920-2930-3435-3940-4445-4950-5455-5960-6465-6970+ Race Day Registration: Late registration will be offered on race day from 7-8 am via your mobile device T-Shirts: Every participant who registers will receive a T- shirt! Sizes are limited, so register TODAY! Shirts are ordered based on sizes indicated during online registration. Shirts cannot be exchanged. Awards (5K Run Only): We will award a cash prize to the top male and female winners in the following categories. Also, the top male and female in each age category will receive a special prize! Weather/Cancellation Policy: Races are held, rain or shine, unless Piedmont Technical College determines that conditions are too dangerous. This decision will be made on race weekend or race day. If the race is canceled due to inclement weather, there will be no refunds. All participant registration proceeds are applied toward the PTC Foundation.
