Run With The Flock 5K/1M

The 8th Annual Run with the Flock is a race event for which all the proceeds are donated in support of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and the Osteosarcoma Institute.  We are thrilled to have our race in person again. 

We are grateful for the continued opportunity to raise money to help families and fund research to find a cure.  Unfortunately, most people are affected by cancer one way or another.  This year we are honoring our featured hero, Cole, who is undergoing treatment now and fighting hard.   

LLS: Did you know approximately every 3 minutes one person in the U.S. is diagnosed with a blood cancer? The LLS mission is to cure leukemia, lymphoma, Hodgkin’s disease, and myeloma and to improve the quality of life for patients and their families. LLS has invested more than $1 billion in research to find cures for blood cancer patients.

Osteosarcoma Institute: There have been no new treatment options approved for osteosarcoma in nearly 40 years. This is not acceptable!  The Osteosarcoma Institute’s mission is to dramatically increase treatment options and survival rates in osteosarcoma patients through identifying and funding the most promising and breakthrough osteosarcoma clinical trials and science. The Osteosarcoma Institute funds breakthrough clinical trials and science to identify new treatments, and ultimately a cure for osteosarcoma.

All participants will get a t-shirt.  To be guaranteed a t-shirt, you must register by Sunday, August 6 at 11 p.m.  Thank you in advance for your continued support to help us knock out cancer!

RACES
5K will start at 7:30 a.m.
1 Mile Fun Run will start at 8:30 a.m.

PACKET PICK-UP
Packet pickup will take place from 11:00 AM to 5:30 PM on Friday, August 18 at Rock City Running.     

Awards
Awards will be given to overall top male and female plus three (3) deep for the following age groups: 9 and under, 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 and over.
