Description
Our starting event for The Polar Festival!

5K Frozen Race with a Polar Plunge at the finish
-Start/Finish will be at The Big Stone Gap Visitor’s Center
**Option to Plunge Only or Race w/Plunge but registration fee is the same (everyone gets the awesome shirt).

All contestants partaking in the PLUNGE are highly encouraged to bring towels and a dry change of clothing because you will want to hang around for the rest of the Polar Festival. Fire pits will be set up to dry you our and warm you up. Adult beverages to knock off the chill. Chilly Chilly Cook-Off. Great music, food and fun for all!

The cost is $50 through February 2 then increases to $55 on race day. This is an official timed event with awards for Overall Top Female and Male & Age Group Awards.

Registering for the Polar Run & Plunge has several benefits. You get the 2024 shirt, you are entered as a Judge for the People’s Choice Award in the Chilly Chili Cook Off, and you get a Free Drink of your choice!
