Jefferson Cup Road Weekend

The UVA Cycling Club and Charlottesville Racing Club are proud to announce the Jefferson Cup Weekend which will take place on April 20 - 21st. On Saturday from 8 AM to 4 PM, the Jefferson Cup Road Race will take place on the iconic circuit just outside of Charlottesville. On Sunday from 9 AM to 5PM, the Cavalier Criterium will take place on an exciting course next to Scott Stadium. This weekend will serve as the ACCC Championships.

Rules: Refunds for medical reasons only. No entry swapping or selling. Race runs rain or shine. All USAC rules apply. ANSI Z90.4 approved helmets must be worn at all times when riding on or near course. Center-line rule will be strictly enforced where applicable. Promoter reserves the right to combine or split fields based on the number of riders in any category. No aero bars permitted in mass start races.

Collegiate Riders: This race weekend will serve as the ACCC Championship race. Collegiate points will only be awarded to full time collegiate students with valid USAC Collegiate licenses and full time high school students with valid USAC Junior licenses. Jerseys and bibs for all such riders must feature school names and/or logo, or be generic blank kits; non-scholastic club and trade team kits are not permitted.

All riders must have an annual or one-day license.Course: This is the traditional Jefferson Cup road course, a 10 mile clockwise circuit that takes racers on one of the most scenic courses imaginable. The country roads roll through glorious estates, breathtaking vineyards, and the legendary Blenheim Hill climb. Bring your picnic blanket and family—it’s going to be a party. The start/finish will both be at the top of the Blenheim Hill – be ready for exciting, leg burning finishes! See this Strava route for a course map.

Spectator Parking: There will be an awesome spectator area at the top of the Blenheim Hill. There will be a food truck, drinks at the Blenheim Tasting Room, and lots of great views of the riders. This is perfect for bringing a picnic blanket to relax and watch the races. The spectator parking will be located at Blenheim Vineyard at the top of the Blenheim Hill, just past the finish line. Road Race Feed Zone: The feed zone will take place on the Blenheim Hill leading up to the finish line, and the feed zone will be marked with signage.

Sunday - Cavalier Criterium

Parking / Staging: Parking in the Lower West Lot. Overflow parking will be available in the Facilities Management lot.Event Date: Sunday, April 21st, 2024Event Time: 9 AM - 5 PMRegistration: Early-bird discount ends on March 22nd, and open field registration cost will increase from $25 to $40. Collegiate registration fee is $25, and the junior registration fee is $10. Online Registration closes Saturday, April 20th at noon. All riders must have an annual or one-day license.Course: We are excited for a brand-new crit taking place next to Scott Stadium this year! Both fast and technical, this ¾ of a mile loop should make for some awesome racing.
