The event celebrates the memory of Connor James Smith, who passed away at 12 but cherished outdoor runs in his wheelchair with his mom. Proceeds benefit the Connor James Smith grant for SCN8A families. Participants receive an official race time, finisher's medal, and a finish-line beer for in-person participants. Virtual participants have several days to complete their chosen challenge distance and will also receive a medal. This endurance sports event serves as a tribute to Connor's love for the outdoors while fostering community support for families with special needs.
