Grasshopper 5K Run, 5K Walk & 1-Mile Fun Run Benefiting Sergeant Rick Leach

The Holly Springs Police Department is partnering with our community to host a 5K run, 5K walk and 1-mile fun run to benefit a retired member of our department, Sergeant Rick Leach. Rick has been diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis and will need a double lung transplant to save his life. He is currently under the care of Duke Hospital and attempting to obtain a spot on the transplant list. Due to the substantial cost of the surgery, lifelong medications, and medical expenses, fund raising efforts are required in order for him to attain placement on this list. Sergeant Leach served the Holly Springs Community for over 25 years as a police officer, school resource officer and Sergeant over the SRO Division. Let’s come together as a family to show Rick how the impact of his lifelong work has made a lasting impression on our community.
