Grand Trail de l'Izoard

In 2020, Team High Trail Briançon created the inaugural edition of the Ecolo Trail de l'Izoard, a trail running event that promotes ecology and the joys of being in the mountains. Races began at Villard Saint Pancrace and concluded in the valley of Cervière and the Col de l'Izoard. Participants and organizers joined forces to commit to eco-friendly actions, raising awareness through sport about the protection of the mountain ecosystem, respect for fauna and flora during sports activities, and the sharing of the natural space among all involved (farmers, hunters, sportsmen). The event is held in a protected natural area and emphasizes the importance of responsible behavior from participants, such as respecting nature, animals, and properly disposing of waste. With the 2022 edition, the event is changing its name to the Grand Trail de l'Izoard (GTI).
