イベントについて
The Ed Anacker Bridger Ridge Run is an aesthetic 20 mile foot-race along the crest of the Bridger Mountains in Southwest Montana.
Here is a link to a downloadable GPS file of the route: https://caltopo.com/m/P7J27
IMPORTANT:
It's remote and technical. Essentially the entire route involves unstable footing, challenging ascents, brutal descents, and unpredictable weather along an exposed ridge.Experience with mountain running is highly encouraged. Aid Stations are remote: Aid Stations will have limited snacks and supplies. We ask that you carry what you think you will need.THE RUN IS "CUPLESS" (Aid Stations will not have cups). Be sure to carry your own drink container, which you can fill at aid stations. Cancellation policies: At this time there are no restrictions. However, this may need to change to comply with Forest Service requirements in case of a fire, or CDC guidelines. It is always possible we may have to impose strict rules in order to have the event, or cancel the event altogether. If for any reason YOU cancel your participation in the race after you sign up, you will not be granted a refund. If for some reason WE cancel the race, registered participants will have these options: “Roll-over” their registration to the following year.Donate their registration fee (and still get swag). Note: as a non-profit event, all unused proceeds are donated to Big Sky Wind Drinkers and to the Gallatin Valley Land Trust, both of which are non-profit organizations that enable trail use and stewardship in the area, as well as other regional non-profit organizations. Start and Finish logistics: The Start is at Fairy Lake, which is a 45-minute drive from the Finish, the final 25 minutes of which is along a dirt road requiring high-clearance. Each participant must arrange their own transport to the Start. All participants are encouraged to park their vehicles at the Fairgrounds, and self-organize carpooling to the Start from there. The Finish is at the Fish Hatchery, near the M Trailhead. Participants will be clearly directed from the M Trailhead to the Drinking Horse tunnel to the Fish Hatchery. The Finish will have very limited parking. A shuttle bus will be operating roughly 10am-4pm to take anybody (participants, friends/family/supporters) between the Fairgrounds Park and Ride lot off of East Oak Street, and the Finish Line. Application process:The number of participants is limited to 250 by the permit we receive from the US Forest Service. So we developed an application process intended to offer broad access to this special event while also supporting volunteering, local non-profit organizations, and commitment to our community.
Everyone seeking to register for this event must submit an application to our lottery. This amounts to answering a series of prompts and entering a valid credit card. If your lottery application is successful, and you do not qualify in a special fee category (eg, Past Winner, 10+ Timer, Raffle Winner), your card will be charged the $90.00 registration fee plus a RunSignUp fee of about $7.00 and you will be entered in this year's run. If you are selected AND in a special fee category, your card will not be charged, and you will be entered in this year's run. If your lottery application is not successful, you will not be charged and you will be given an opportunity to volunteer (which will increase your chances in the lottery next year). All participants will be notified of their status shortly after the selection has taken place.
All participants must be at least 18 years old by the event day.
