Cougar Mountain Trail Series July

Welcome to the Cougar Mountain Trail Run Series, organized by Seattle Running Club and Northwest Trail Runs. The series supports King County Parks, with a portion of every entry fee going to benefit the parks.The events in the series offer a variety of distances to suit all experience levels, taking place in the scenic Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park, just 15 minutes from Seattle. Runners will traverse lush forests, rolling hills, and occasional steep inclines along the well-marked trails.

The summer races are held on the 2nd Saturday of May, June, July, and August, while the fall races take place on the last Sunday in October. Series standings are updated monthly, and runners competing in each successive distance are eligible for series awards. Remember that there is a participant cap for each race, so early registration is recommended as the races tend to sell out.

Throughout the series, top overall male, female, and nonbinary runners based on cumulative time will receive an award and a free entry into next year's series. Plus, the August 14.5-Mile Race will serve as the USATF PNTF championships, with prize money to be announced closer to the event.
