Chigger Chase

Come chill with the Chigger at the 28th Annual Chigger Chase run at Ardmore Regional Park! Run through the Festival of Lights to kick off the Christmas season with your family and friends.

The Children's Run - Kids up to age 12 will run on the main race course! All children registered to run will start with the Chigger at the inflated start line, run out 1/4 mile, and run back a 1/4 mile through the finish line. Dress for the occasion in your festive attire or fun costume!

Runners of all ages are encouraged to register for the 5K run through the Christmas lights. Will you be one of the fast runners who catches the Speedy Chigger? You also have the option of a 1-mile fun run or walk. Get in the spirit by wearing your festive attire!

If you want one of our great souvenir t-shirts, be sure to register no later than October 20th! We cannot guarantee a t-shirt after 5 pm October 20th. Race-day registration will be available until 4:15 p.m. on November 16th.

We are excited to welcome back the Girls on the Run for their Fall 2024 Celebratory 5K! This untimed event for Girls on the Run participants and their Running Buddies celebrates everyone's accomplishments.

Date and Time - Arrive early to park and participate in pre-event activities.

4:15 pm Race-day registration closes! 
4:45 pm Start time for the Children's Chigger Chase 1/2 mile Run
5:00 pm Mascot Race
5:30 pm Start time for the 5k Chigger Chase and 1-mile Fun Run
5:35 pm Start time for Girls on the Run 5k

Races 
5K, 1 mile fun run, children's 1/2 mile run, and Girls on the Run 5K. The Chigger Chase 5K is the only timed race. All other races are untimed.

Note: Parking will be near the softball fields. Plan to arrive early enough for a short walk over to the Pavilion.
