Capital City Century

Join Us for the 52nd Capital City Century!

Mark your calendar for Saturday, September 14, 2024 for the 52nd Capital City Century (CCC)! The event is brought to you by the Springfield (IL) Bicycle Club and offers something for all levels of cyclists ---- from the 12-mile Family Ride to the challenging 100-mile Century option. 

About the Ride

All routes start and finish at the Sherman Athletic Club, where you will head out on the Heritage Route 66 Multiuse Trail. The 20-, 40-, 63- and 100-mile routes venture out into the surrounding country on low-traffic roads, while the Family Ride stays on the trail. There are well-stocked aid stations with plenty of food and hydration to keep you fueled. Celebrate the completion of your ride with a post-ride meal. All registered riders receive a meal ticket and one beverage (choice of wine, beer or soda) from the bar at the Sherman Athletic Club.

Mechanical Support

Local bike mechanics will be available at the Sherman Athletic Club before the ride, as well as at one of the rest stops to assist with minor mechanical issues.
