2025 Cal Tri Culpeper - 4.27.25. Cal Tri Events has announced the addition of Cal Tri Culpeper 2024. Set for Sunday, June 9, 2024 the event in Culpeper, VA, becomes a host city to Cal Tri’s national US triathlon race series.

Cal Tri Culpeper returns to Culpeper’s Mountain Run Lake Park, situated in north-central Virginia. The event will aim to increase triathlon awareness & engagement and raises funds for both local and national charities.

“This race is an opportunity to showcase the Culpeper community and surrounding area,” said Thom Richmond, CEO at Cal Tri Events.

“Typical Cal Tri Events include a combination of local athletes and endurance tourists coming from 20-plus states. We strive to both provide a safe and affordable athlete experience as well as give back to the community. Done well, these athletes will return to Culpeper year after year.”

The event weekend features 14 race options, including: triathlon, triathlon relay, run-bike-run, swimbike, swimrun, swim and run at both the sprint & Olympic distances. The organising team add that the race still has room for participants and volunteers.

Cal Tri Events is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization with a mission for its events to be ‘safe, affordable & accessible’. It is billed as the largest national short-course triathlon series in the US – with athletes enjoying free race transfers, deferrals & participant transfers as late as the day before the race.
