The Original Bare Buns Fun Run - WA

Only 43 miles from Spokane, WA., tucked away in the forest is Kaniksu Ranch. Home of the 'Original' Bare Buns Fun Run running for our 38th year!

BBFR is a clothing optional 5k course that you can run or walk. The course is an out and back on a pressed gravel/dirt road with a slight uphill on the way back and is a part of the Buns Across the Border series.

There is no additional charge for entering as a team. Team sign up is done onsite. All team members must be individually registered for the run.

If you want to come and just camp for the weekend you can do that too and cheer on the brave participants!

We have lots of campsites but they do fill up quickly so get your reservation in as soon as you can. Meals will be served starting Friday evening. There is entertainment Friday & Saturday night as well as the Hasher Run on Saturday afternoon. We have 2 pools and 2 hot tubs, bocce ball, pickleball & horseshoe courts. Kaniksu Ranch has outdoor and indoor showers, bathrooms, sauna & lots of friendly people! 

There are over 15 age groups from 5 and under to 80+. The top 3 overall male and female receive a medal. The top 3 male and female in each age group (after removing top 3 overall) receive medals. Ribbons are given to all participants 5 and under.
