The Great Cow Harbor 10K Run

The 2022 Great Cow Harbor 10K is being held as a Live Traditional Run and a VIRTUAL event will be offered as well.    2022 Great Cow Harbor 10-Kilometer Run
Date :    Saturday, September 17th   Time :      8:30 a.m.   The Great Cow Harbor 10-Kilometer Run is one of the most prestigious foot races in the country and nationally ranked. Runner's World has named the Cow Harbor Race as one of the top 100 races in the USA. New England Runner regularly places The Great Cow Harbor 10K Run in its Top 100 Races, stating "Big race atmosphere in a small town on the Island; it's a winner! Who says those "rolling" courses can't be fun?" The 2K Fun Run / Walk has been a huge success. This event attracts families and participants of all ages. Over 1000 entrants are expected. This race combines small-town ambiance with national-class competition. Set in Northport Village, a pre-revolutionary ship-building center, the course offers a series of rolling green hills, a panoramic view of the Long Island Sound, and a down hill finish, as well as a "world-class" post race party.     Race For Charity
This year the Great Cow Harbor 10K Run is proud to support Special Olympics, the Veterans Administration, and our local food pantry.

 

Timing
The Cow Harbor Race features express timing. Finishing times are available faster than ever before. This method of timing results in a smoother finish line with runners exiting the area quickly. Finish times will be displayed at a designated location in the Northport Village Park.

 

Runner Tracking:

 

This year we are pleased to announce that the Great Cow Harbor Race will be utilizing RaceJoy smartphone app during the race. This app is installed on the runners smartphone and any of their friends or relatives smartphone. As the runner runs through the course the friends or relatives can monitor their progress back at the finish line on their smartphone. Bib number assignments:    We assign bib numbers according to your Predicted Finish Time. If you would like to run with someone or run with a group then all you have to do is enter the same unique Predicted Finish Time. An example is  1:22:43 or 50:16. Make sure all the runners who you would like to run with puts in the same time. Try not to use 00 as seconds because their might be 400 runners with 00 seconds Any runner who wants to put in a finish time less than 37:30 must send us a validation of another 10k you ran in for Corral 1 seeding

 

Number Pickup:
Number pickup is Friday the 16th, at the Laurel Avenue School between 6:30 and 9:00 PM and Saturday morning the 17th, between 7:00 and 8:00 AM.
