The Big Pilgrimage

Begin your athletic journey at Mayflower Park in Southampton with the Big Pilgrimage, a dynamic point-to-point marathon along the Pilgrim Trail known as the 'Old Way'. Charted on Britain's historic Gough Map circa 1360, this trail offers a blend of coastal and countryside vistas. As you navigate the Solent Way, cross the Itchen Bridge and follow the shoreline to Hamble, where pink ferries will carry you to Warsash. From Warsash, continue your run along the shoreline towards Hill Head Harbour, then head north on picturesque trails through Titchfield and Wickham, ascending to Portsdown Hill for breathtaking views of the English Channel. The marathon concludes triumphantly at Fort Nelson atop Portsdown Hill. Collect stickers at iconic spots like Netley Castle and Titchfield Abbey to create a unique race number as a memento of this scenic athletic adventure.
