Stanky Creek Trail Race
This 50k/25k event is continuation of the Fortitude Trail Race event put on last year. Due to reasons out of my control the race event had to be rebranded. I have decided to bring this gem of a race back for a new vision. It's still going to pack a punch on the trails with potentially grueling heat that our mid-south summer weather brings, but you will have a new focus on this race. For you that do not know, September is Childhood Cancer Awareness month. This is especially important to me, since my daughter Olivia was diagnosed with ALL leukemia in July 2018. Since that time I have tried to figure out ways to help St. Jude in anyway I can. So I came up with Stanky Creek trail race. This race will be a non-profit race, and all funds will be donated to St. Jude. I am an active St. Jude Hero and know what its like to be a patient family now. So I know these trails well at Nesbit Park and have always enjoyed every minute I have spent on the course. I also know what it takes to make it through the weather. So as the name of the race was inspired by the fortitude of each and every patient in St. Jude, I now have challenged each of you to find the fortitude inside yourself to challenge yourself with this race to help a great cause and also work toward conquering your own inner fortitude. Good Luck and see you in September.
Medals
Yes there definitely will be some medals. I know we all love to have something to show our efforts. I have designed a medal that will be something you will love to showcase!!
Covid 19 protocol
There will be a waiver to sign as long as the protocols are all in place, but after this past year's event, we had no issues with the needed steps to put on a fun and safe race for all those involved.

St. Jude will also continue to help provide their swag as well to the race.

Course Layout
The course has been mapped out. This year the course will be run clockwise on the Blue and outer and inner white loop portion of the course. This measures out to be 8 miles each loop with approx. 500ft of elevation gain per loop. Terrain is gorgeous. Your going to be crossing over several short boardwalks and bridges and there are a couple of creek crossings. This course offers a little bit of everything. You will enjoy it. https://www.alltrails.com/explore/recording/stanky-creek-trail--115*** there has been a last minute change. Enjoy everyone!
