Run For The Children

Join us for the 19th Annual Run For The Children 10K/5K/1K Fun Run, April 27, 2024 in Graham, Texas. The common start/finish line is at the downtown Square, the largest courthouse square in the country. 

The Run takes place in April to coincide with Child Abuse Awareness Month. Proceeds go to Virginia’s House-Dr. Goodall’s House, which serves children and families who are victims of abuse. Virginia’s House provides service to Young, Stephens, and Throckmorton Counties.

The 10K and 5K courses are USATF certified and will take you through the heart of the downtown square past the old Courthouse arch and around the town. The 1K Fun Run course will circle around the inside of the Courthouse Square.

While the salt works were the stepping stones for establishing Graham, Texas, in 1877 Graham was the birthplace of the Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers Association. Come explore our charming town filled with rich history and culture, boutiques, and restaurants in the lush North Texas Hill Country.

After the Run, head to Fireman's Park for the 11th Annual Fun in the Sun - Remembering Wyatt Dale. There will be water safety awareness information, free life jackets, water slides, games, give-aways, and a fishing contest.

$100 Cash Prize for overall male & female 10K and 5K winners.

Registration fees prior to race day are: 10K  $35,  5K  $30,  1K  $15

Late registration fees on race day: 10K  $40,  5K  $35 

Student registration fees - 10K $30,  5K  $25

Registration and packet pick-up will be at Virginia’s House on Thursday, April 25th, 2024 from 5-7 pm and on race day, Saturday April 27, 2024 at 6:30 am.  

Age Divisions: 9 & under, 10-14, 15-18, 19-24, 25-34, 35-44, 45-54, 55-64, 65 and over.

Registration opens at 6:30 am on race day at the race site.

The opening ceremony begins at 7:15 am. 

Start Times: 10K 7:30 am / 5K 7:35 am / 1K Fun Run 9:00 am  

Award ceremonies will begin right after the 1K Fun Run is completed. 

Post-run refreshments and swag bags are provided for participants. T-shirts are included in the registration fees and are guaranteed if one is registered by March 27, 2024.
